LENS SIMULATION
Leica LUX brings the world of Leica to your iPhone by imitating a variety of legendary Leica lenses. You can explore the unique world of Leica lenses, each offering its own image style. Lens simulations include classics – such as the Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 ASPH. and the Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH. – the app is continuously being expanded to include additional lenses. The custom software engine also creates bokeh quality images, a style synonymous with Leica photography, directly in your iPhone.
ICONIC LEICA LOOKS
Leica LUX is based on Leica's own renowned colour science and offers the same colour corrections and film presets used in Leica cameras. These include Leica Looks such as Leica Classic, Leica Contemporary, Leica Black & White and Leica Vivid. Lower the price please
I really like using this app. The layout is awesome and easy to work with. I tried the pro upgrade during the trial period. The pro version makes the app even more fun to use. Unfortunately I can’t justify the monthly cost for the app subscription. Owning a Leica is more of a luxury that most people can’t afford but it would be nice if ordinary people could at least afford the app. I do hope maybe this could be considered in any future app plans. Leica Lux is a toy, in a good way.
iPhone is the camera I now carry. Leica Lux is an app to filter with it’s ability to limit to specific focal lengths and colour filters to limit colour ranges. I found I begin to think in a ‘Lux box’ when looking at potential subject matter.
I think photography is about what is included in the frame. Using Leica Lux parameters makes it necessary to move the camera in relation to the subject matter.
I like to use prime lenses with my cameras, I get better results working inside boundaries. I just get more satisfactory results because I have to work harder, I guess.
Use Leica Lux for a couple of weeks like I did. Lots of nice pictures. It’s the magic again.
