Amanda Holden gets goosebumps when members of a new boyband break into a Backstreet Boys tune on Britain’s Got Talent.
The ITV programme arrives in Newcastle for the first time in the show’s history, with judges wondering if the talent there will be hotter than hosts Ant and Dec – but the judges are impressed by Connected, who sing I Want It That Way.

But Amanda tells the group, called Connected and made up of 13-year-old twins Conor and Miles, 12-year-old Matt, 13-year-old Harry and Max, 15: “I got goosebumps the minute you all started singing, and I think you have a big future ahead of you.”
Piers Morgan tells the youngsters: “I was the official biographer for Take That so I’m an expert in first stages of boyband and I think we’ve got something quite good here.”
Married couple Claire and Clive – whose act is called Flute Magic – also try their luck at the auditions.
“I think Claire playing the flute and me doing the magic is that little bit of extra something that will make the judges sit up and say: ‘Yes this is what we need,'” says Clive.
Audience members look bemused as Claire plays The Lion King’s Circle of Life on her flute while Clive gets going with the magic.
Piers says: “I found it hypnotic to watch, something very unusual about your act and this show is designed to promote the unusual.”
:: Britain’s Got Talent airs on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1 and is followed by Britain’s Got More Talent on ITV2 at 9pm.
