While Ed Sheeran celebrated his four Brit Award nominations by partying with Pixie Lott and pals for her 21st birthday, Adele celebrated her three nods by letting her hair down at EastEnders star Sid Owen’s birthday bash.

The music stars might have both been recognised by the Brit Awards board for their contribution to music in the last 12 months but it’s clear they have very different interests.

20-year-old Ed decided to hang out with his peers and made his way to London’s trendy nightspot Movida to celebrate Pixie’s coming of age.
He dressed down for the occasion in a navy hoody and jeans, but with four Brit nominations under his belt there’s no doubt he would have been let into any club last night, and looked more than content with the career-changing news he had just received.
Ed chose to keep a low-profile during the night, despite having been nominated for a whopping four Brit awards just hours earlier.
This was possibly to ensure he didn’t end up stealing the limelight from the birthday girl.
As well as being nominated for Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Male Solo Artist, he is also in the running for Best British Single and the Mastercard British Album of the Year.
Pixie, on the other hand, ensured she was the belle of her birthday ball as she transformed into a Grecian goddess in a flowing white silk dress with gold sequin detail around the top.

The All About Tonight singer wore her hair in a delicate up-do, with plait detail, and kept boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, who looked dapper in a black suit teamed with a dotty bow tie, close to her side all night long.
The pair have been dating since August 2010 and couldn’t have looked happier as they held hands and walked closely together as they made thier way to the club.

Other guests at Pixie’s birthday do included The Only Way Is Essex stars Joey Essex, Mark Wright and James ‘Arg’ Argent who made an effort with some sharp, and shiny, suits.
JLS boys Aston Merrygold, JB, Oritse and Marvin Humes also made an appearance at the party.

Meanwhile, Adele chose EastEnders star Sid Owen’s 40th birthday bash to celebrate her three Bafta nominations.
She has been given nods for Best British Female Solo Artist, Best British Single for Someone Like You and Best Album of the Year.

Deciding to go to the more low-key birthday event, she instead chose to take her new boyfriend Simon Konecki to the soap star’s party.
Hinting she really wasn’t in the mood for a wild night of drinking and dancing though, Adele was spotted cradling her pet dog during the night and seemed to give it even more attention than she gave to Simon.

And it’s clear her new fella, who she has been dating since October last year, wasn’t exactly having the time of his life.
The 36-year-old was seen digging around in his nostril with one of his fingers while Adele climbed into a car.

Adele was by far the biggest celebrity to show their face at the soap actor’s do with other names including fellow EastEnders stars Perry Fenwick, who plays Billy Mitchell, and Scott Maslen, who plays Jack Branning. New girl Hettie Bywater, who has joined the soap as Lucy Beale, and Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning, also turned up to trendy Camden venue Gilgamesh to party with Sid.
Former WAGs Lizzie Cundy and Ellen Rivas were also on the invite list.
