When the Islamic State recently killed 21 Christians in Libya they said they planned to conquer Rome.
The bloodthirsty Jihadis issued an ominous warning through a masked militant.
‘Today we are south of Rome. We will conquer Rome with Allah’s permission.’
Rita Katz, director of SITE Intelligence Group, pointed out that supporters of the Islamic State have begun using a hashtag to warn of their plan to reach ‘Rome’.
As word of #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome spread Romans themselves took the opportunity to respond to the Islamic State – in their own unique way.
They were quick to point out Isis might struggle to even make it.

But for all the bluster some experts believe Isis themselves are not exactly sure what Rome means.
The Islamists appear to be geographically challenged and experts say it may actually be a reference to the United States or Turkey, or even the West in general.
