Arsenal fans are calling on the club to re-sign Cesc Fabregas after the midfielder was reportedly told he is no longer in Antonio Conte’s plans at Chelsea.
The 30-year-old left north London in 2011 after nearly a decade at the club and that move has made him unpopular with sections of fans.
Nevertheless, after starting on the bench for large parts of Chelsea’s title-winning season, a lot of Arsenal fans are hoping he can be tempted away.
A switch across town has been made more likely after Fabregas’ Italian manager told him he was surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.
Those rumours, which were surfaced by Spanish newspaper AS, has sent Arsenal fans onto social media pleading with their club to bring Fabregas home.

If Fabregas has been told to leave it would be tempting to try and bring him home.

Unpopular opinion with some Arsenal fans, but I’d take Cesc Fabregas back in a heartbeat. He’s a winner, a leader & he knows the club.

The Spaniard made 29 appearances in the Premier League last season, although 16 of those were as a substitute.
Arsenal have a large contingent of playmakers but many would see Fabregas as an upgrade on the club’s current stars like Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and the long-term injury victim Santi Cazorla.
