Sunday night saw one of the biggest nights in the US sporting calendar as the Super Bowl took place in Florida.
This year’s match saw the Kansas City Chiefs go head to head against the San Francisco 49ers in the game at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Viewers and those in the crowd were also treated to a spectacular halftime show courtesy of Jennifer Lopez – whose daughter Emme joined her onstage – and Shakira.
There was also a poignant moment as the teams paid tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, holding a minute’s silence for them and the others who died in last weekend’s devastating helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.
But at the end of it all who emerged as Super Bowl winners? And just how long did it go on for?
Here’s what you need to know…
Who won the Super Bowl 2020?
The 2020 Super Bowl was won by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Although the 49ers had been the hot favourites to take the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy, the Chiefs came from behind to score a sensational victory over their rivals.

Initially it looked as though the 49ers had it in the bag, with the team leading 20-10 heading into the fourth quarter of the match.
However Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes spearheaded a comeback for the team which saw them score a sensational 21 unanswered points in just four minutes – giving them a 31-20 victory over the 49ers.

Mahomes, who was named MVP, said afterwards: ‘Everybody on this team, no one had their head down and we found a way to win in the end.
‘The 49ers have an amazing defence, one of the best defences I’ve played against so far and I’m just glad our guys kept fighting. This team has heart, coach pushes us to be the best we can be.’
What time did the Super Bowl finish?
The game began just after 11.40pm UK time (following Demi Lovato’s rendition of the National Anthem) and ended just after 3.10am UK time.
So with the halftime show included, that’s a whole three and a half hours worth of Super Bowl action, with a memorable comeback from the Chiefs and a very late night for folks watching on this side of the pond.
The average Super Bowl game takes around three hours and 44 minutes to complete.
However the time varies depending on how things play out on the field.
