Director of X-Men: The Last Stand, Brett Ratner, has clapped back at Vinnie Jones’s comments about cutting back on his role in the film.
Jones stated he was ‘mugged off’ by Ratner in his role as the villain Juggernaut, who famously shouts ‘Don’t you know who I am? I’m the Juggernaut, b****’ in the 2006 sequel.
The actor blamed the lack of lines on a change in director claiming he initially had a larger part in the movie when he was originally cast by the film’s previous director, Matthew Vaughn.
Speaking to Comic Book Movie, Jones said: ‘I basically got mugged off.
‘Brett Ratner basically dissolved the character. I was in my f***ing trailer half the time.
‘It’s one of the most disappointing jobs I’ve been on as far as, you know, “What am I doing here?” … Basically, I was an extra, mate. That’s how I felt. I was gutted, to be honest.’

In a lengthy Instagram post which has since been deleted, Ratner responded to Jones claims labelling them ‘inaccurate’.
The director also joked about other mutant villains like Rebecca Romijn’s character Mystique being ‘easier on the eyes’ before blaming the film’s tight deadline for not being able to develop the character.

Ratner said: ‘In all seriousness, I shot the script I was given and I was not able to expand the role of Juggernaut as per Vinnie’s request due to the extremely limited time I had to deliver the film.
‘I have the utmost respect and admiration for Vinnie Jones and his talent and thought he created a memorable character.’
