Prince Harry has said some of his son Archie’s first words after ‘mama’ and ‘papa’ were ‘grandma Diana’.
It comes as the Duke of Sussex revealed his struggles after his mother’s death in his new mental health series, ‘The Me You Can’t See’.
He said about Princess Diana: ‘I wish she could have met Meghan. I wish she was around for Archie.
‘I’ve got a photo up in his nursery… and it was one of the first words that he said. Apart from “mama”, “papa”, it was then “grandma”, “grandma Diana”.
‘It’s the sweetest thing but at the same time makes me really sad.’
Only a few months go he told his friend James Corden in an interview that his son’s first word was ‘crocodile’.
He also said Archie really loves the word ‘hydrate’ when speaking with Oprah Winfrey about his son.
He told Corden: ‘My son is now over a year and a half, he is hysterical, he’s got the most amazing personality, he’s already putting two, three words together, he’s already singing songs.
‘His first word was “crocodile”. Three syllables!’
James looked impressed, calling it a ‘big word’, to which Harry said: ‘It is indeed. Not sure I can even manage three syllables on a particularly groggy morning.’

In the documentary series with Oprah, the Duke of Sussex also spoke candidly about his previous life in the UK as part of the Royal Family.
He accused the family of ‘total neglect’ and said his life was a ‘nightmare’. He also said he turned to drink and drugs to cope with the death of his mother.
Harry said he and Meghan were ‘followed, photographed, chased and harassed’ within days of their relationship becoming public.

But he claimed they received little support as they were attacked on social media and in some newspapers.
‘I felt completely helpless. I thought my family would help – but every single ask, request, warning, whatever it is, just got met with total silence or total neglect,’ he said.
His documentary was released just hours after an independent inquiry found that journalist Martin Bashir used ‘deceitful behaviour’ to secure an interview with Princess Diana in 1995.
Prince Harry and William spoke out over the interview, saying their mother was ‘failed’.
