Summer Ranger (Rhiannon Clements) got a taste of her own medicine in Hollyoaks tonight, as she ended up on the receiving end of a bullet, courtesy of former captive Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart).
The village’s resident schemer was forced to improvise in the wake of Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) betrayal, as she drugged her girlfriend, and moved her to the garage.
They say that love conquers all, and for Summer, it almost did, as she resolved to forgive Sienna her sins, no matter how great they were. But a confrontation with Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) soon changed her mind.
With Brody claiming that Sienna hates her, Summer decided that, in order to truly destroy Brody, she must do him what he did to her, and that means taking away the one thing he holds dear in this world
You guessed it. Sienna!
Sienna, meanwhile, attempted to free herself from Summer’s grasp, but the drugs in her system made such a thing impossible.
Summer caught her red-handed, and revealed that she’s got no choice but to murder her, leaving Sienna in shock.

‘This is breaking my heart’, said Summer, as she withdrew her gun and pointed it at her lover. ‘But it’s the only way I can get justice.
‘And Brody will spend the rest of his days knowing that I took you from him forever. Just like he took my dad from me!’
Sienna pleaded for her life, but Summer was not for reconsidering, as she prepared to pull the trigger.

‘Goodnight, sweet Sienna,’ she whispered, readying herself to bid farewell to the woman of her dreams.
Liberty, however, came to the rescue, whacking Summer across the head with her handbag! She had been freed from captivity by Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring), who worked out where Summer was keeping her.

Sienna, overwhelmed, was delighted to see her sister alive, but their happy reunion was short-lived, as a vengeful Summer got to her feet and approached with murderous intentions.
Left with little choice, Liberty reached for the gun and fired it at Summer, shooting her in the leg.

Summer lay unconscious, and Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) was unable to feel her pulse. Brody, meanwhile, arrived, horrified to learn of what had transpired.
Summer, however, was not dead, as she was nowhere to be found when Damon returned to the garage, meaning that she’d successfully escaped!
‘This isn’t over,’ said Sienna, as she, Liberty, Damon and Brody surveyed the area around them, hoping to catch a glimpse of the woman who terrorised them.
They were unsuccessful. Viewers, however, saw firsthand that Summer is alive, as she hid nearby, out of sight.

Have we seen the last of Summer? Unlikely. In fact, if the look on her face is anything to go by, it’s safe to assume that the schemer will be back.
Sienna may have won this battle, but this war is far from over. And we can hardly wait for round two!
