One of the most addictive reality shows on TV is returning to our screens, with Married at First Sight Australia back for a ninth season very soon.
Channel Nine has set tongues wagging by releasing pictures of the new contestants ahead of the new episodes later this month.
There are eight grooms and eight brides set to appear in the upcoming season – and with sparks sure to fly, viewers are already getting excited.
The channel has promised some of the show’s ‘hottest’ cast members in 2022, with plenty of successful (and not so successful, let’s be honest) sure to be coming our way.
From beauticians to pro wrestlers, meet the new contestants getting hitched on the show below.
Domenica Calarco
Domenica is a 28-year-old looking to make a big impact on the programme. The makeup artist from New South Wales has been married before, but split from her husband two months after the ceremony having been together for four years.
Viewers can expect her to be ‘outgoing’, ‘feisty’ and ‘passionate’.
Ella Ding
Ella describes herself as unlucky in love, and the 27-year-old from Victoria is also known as someone who overshare.
The self-assured beautician is looking for a strong sexual connection with her new partner and is looking for a thrilling relationship.
Holly Greenstein
Cinema manager Holly is looking to meet someone on the programme so she can become a mother, and the 36-year-old is very open about her desires to start a family.
The New South Wales resident is described as being emotionally raw, and says she wants to make her husband feel loved and feel loved in return.
Olivia Frazer
The 27-year-old from New South Wales has been unlucky when it comes to dating, saying that she always meets the wrong guys.
Suffering from low confidence, the teaching student was overweight until the age of 22, when she had a gastric sleeve to lose 50 kilos.
She’s looking to meet someone special after previously acting as a full-time carer for her terminally ill father.
Samantha Moitzi
Samantha, 26, will be hoping that the breakdown of a four year relationship won’t impact her in the show, with the fashion brand manager describing herself as ambitious and outgoing.
The Queensland resident, who works as a Fashion Brand Manager, is hoping her strong and independent personality comes across on the show.
Selin Mengu
Single mum Selin, 32, has a baby boy who is just about to turn three. Her wedding day on the programme will be her first date in three years, too.
The executive assistant from New South Wales is strong-willed and comes from a very close Turkish family.
Selina Chhaur
Selina, 32, is no stranger to reality TV, having previously starred in Channel Seven’s The Proposal.
The South Australia resident surprised her family after dropping out of school early to pursue her passion for hairdressing, despite her parents dreaming of her becoming a doctor or lawyer.
Tamara Djordjevic
Queensland local Tamara could be one of the biggest personalities to look out for, describing herself as a force to be reckoned with.
The confident 32-year-old, who works as an operations manager, has high expectations for a partner, who can’t be intimidated by her.
Al Perkins
The 25-year-old tradie from New South Wales local is no stranger to female attention, and is described as ‘fun’ and ‘the life of the party’.
However, while he comes across as confident, he is also afraid of rejection on the big day.
Andrew Davis
Motivational speaker Andrew, 39, has been married before. He’s hoping to make it third time lucky when he heads down the aisle on the show.
The New South Wales local is looking for someone to keep him on his toes and challenge him.
Jack Millar
Jack could be one of the names easing tensions on the programme, with the 26-year-old financial planner from New South Wales is described as a peacemaker with a great moral compass.
He is looking for a partner who can share his love of music and adventure.
Anthony Cincotta
The 38-year-old from Victoria works in sales, and also just happens to be a pro wrestler on the weekends.
Despite his professional wrestler alter ego, Tommy Hellfire, he also has a sensitive side, and he is looking for someone to challenge him emotionally.
Brent Vitiello
The hospitality manager, 33, from New South Wales is described as being confident, charismatic and sociable.
He lived a glamorous life in Dubai for seven years and ran a events management company.
Mitchell Eynaud
Financial planner Mitchell, 26, also works as a part-time model from his home on the Gold Coast.
Meeting new partners isn’t an issue, but Mitch admits he’s never spent more than two nights with a girl in his life.
He’s looking to settle down on the programme.
Jackson Lonie
Plumber Jackson, 30, could be the one bringing the laughs on the show, with the Victoria local calling himself the class clown.
He loves to laugh and the sensitive contestant is described as a natural protector – with the eldest of five children having protected his family from violent stepfathers in the past.
Cody Bromley
Beach lover Cody, 30, works as a swim coach in New South Wales and is hoping to catch feelings as well as waves on the show.
