Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher)’s anxiety once more gets the better of her in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, and once again it’s worrying about Asha (Tanisha Gorey)’s safety that’s the trigger for her.
Asha tells Aadi (Adam Hussain) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) that she’s thinking of applying to Glasgow University, but she does have reservations about it being so far away from home. She also worries about how Nina will cope without her.
Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), realising that Asha might be having second thoughts about going to uni because of concerns about Nina, encourages his daughter by giving her a guidebook of Glasgow.
When Nina spots this and realises that Asha is planning on spending a day in the city, she puts on a brave face and encourages her to enjoy a day out there.
But later Nina discovers that floods are expected in Glasgow and she’s terrified that something will happen to Asha on the train journey.
When Asha calls in to the cafe before setting off, she’s shocked when Nina takes her phone – and locks the cafe door to stop her leaving.
