Peaky Blinders season six is coming to an end tonight (April 3), as the sixth episode of the series airs on BBC One.
Fans are desperate to know if crime boss Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, will die at the hands of his inoperable tuberculoma.
Once the question has been answered in tonight’s finale, viewers will be wondering if they’ll have any more episodes of the beloved BBC drama to look forward to.
Here is everything you need to know.
Will there be another series of Peaky Blinders?
Unfortunately, there will not be another series of Peaky Blinders.
Show creator Steven Knight told BBC News in 2021: ‘The original intention was to do seven series, but Covid has stolen a year from us’.
However, this doesn’t mean that the story of Tommy Shelby and his gang is ending for good tonight.
Knight confirmed that a Peaky Blinders movie will soon be in the works.
Appearing on BBC News in early 2021, he revealed: ‘The original intention was to do seven series, but Covid has stolen a year from us, and we felt what would be a great idea is to, almost in place of that seventh series, is to go onto the big screen.’
Steven told Metro.co.uk in February that the movie will be set during the Second World War.

He said: ’I know exactly what’s going to happen, I know what the story is and I’m writing at the moment.
‘It’s a very specific story, that’s based on a true story from the Second World War and will be told in the Peaky way.’
Although not much else has been revealed about the film yet, fans can go into tonight’s episode knowing they won’t have to say goodbye forever.
