Heartstopper star Joe Locke has called for a special episode of Great British Bake Off featuring the cast of his hit show.
The teen LGBT+ romance hit Netflix last month and immediately exploded in popularity, gaining masses of fans within days of its debut.
Based on the series of webcomics by Alice Oseman, Heartstopper follows Charlie and Nick, two LGBT+ teen boys who begin falling for each other at school.
Heartstopper’s massive popularity is down to the sheer skill of the cast, light-hearted plot and brilliant characters – and, of course, the actors who play them.
Actor Joe, 18, who plays Charlie, sent Twitter into meltdown on Tuesday when he had the brilliant idea of a Heartstopper Bake Off special, and simply had to share his idea with the world.

Taking to the site, he wrotte: ‘Heartstopper cast on bake off when???’
Joe’s idea proved massively popular with fans liking the tweet over 120,000 times, and he later tagged Channel 4 in the hope they’d see it.
It’s not just the Heartstopper fandom who want a Heartstopper Celebrity Bake Off: Sebastian Croft, who plays Ben in the acclaimed show, jumped at the chance.
‘IMAGINE,’ he wrote to Joe along with a cake emoji.
He added: ‘We all know who’s winning tho (sic)…’
To which Joe, humble as ever, wrote back: ‘Me.’
Rivalries are already hotting up even without stepping into the kitchen, with Tobie Donovan, who plays Isaac in the show, also declaring himself the winner.
He wrote: ‘Ngl (Not gonna lie) nobody else would stand a chance against me on bake off (sic).’
Joe, having none of it, said: ‘Absolutely not true.’
Celebrity Bake Off has welcomed the cast of plenty of brilliant shows in the past, with the Derry Girls trying their hand (to disastrous results) in recent years.
Heartstopper has already featured on Channel 4 stalwart Gogglebox (which Joe absolutely lost it over and which led to confusion for US fans who had no idea what was going on).

Now Channel 4 is facing the might of the Heartstopper fandom, with hundreds of Twitter users bombarding the account with gifs and memes of the show in the hopes they might announce a Heartstopper Bake Off special.
