Stepping out shoulder-to-shoulder at Windsor Castle on Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Wales joined forces with Harry and Meghan to greet well-wishers.
Kate revealed Prince Louis’ poignant response to the Queen’s passing, and told one family ‘at times like these you’ve got to come together’.
That is exactly what the ‘fab four’ did as William offered an olive branch to the Sussexes, reportedly on instruction from King Charles after he publicly expressed his love to them as they ‘build their lives overseas’.
All four were dressed in black as they spent 40 minutes shaking people’s hands, observing floral tributes and talking to mourners outside the castle.
During the walkabout, Meghan hugged a young girl in the crowd, while Harry told one woman she was a ‘hero’.
It was the first time William had spent time with his brother since the funeral of their grandfather Prince Philip in April 2021.

Among the crowd on the Long Walk in Windsor, Banita Ranow said Kate was ‘welling up’ during the conversation with the crowd.

Ms Ranow’s mum, Baljinder Ranow, 64, said seeing the four back together was ‘fabulous’.
‘It was so beautiful to see,’ she added. ‘I felt so emotional and I felt the Queen would have loved it.
‘I just hope in the future they remain like that and that the brothers come together, and the families.’
