The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children will not be granted HRH status, a source has claimed.
After the death of their great-grandmother, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is now technically a prince, while his younger sister, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor is a princess.
It is understood King Charles is expected to officially anoint his two grandchildren in the near future, The Sun reported.
But Archie and Lilibet will not be able to use His and Her Royal Highness titles.
‘There have been a lot of talks over the past week. They have been insistent that Archie and Lilibet are prince and princess,’ a source told the paper.
‘They have been relentless since the Queen died. But they have been left furious that Archie and Lilibet cannot take the title HRH.’

According to the source, the agreement is that Archie and Lilibet can be prince and princess but not HRH because they are not working royals.
Meanwhile, Prince William’s title in the long line of succession as the Prince of Wales was quickly added on the Royal Family’s website with his three children now listed as ‘of Wales’.
The Sussexes stopped using their HRH styles in January 2020 when they stepped down as senior royals.
Much has been said about their children’s titles and the duke and duchess’ strained relationship with some members of the family since then.
