It’s been confirmed that Holby City’s Eli Ebrahimi will appear in upcoming scenes of Casualty, as Davood Ghadami reprises his role.
Following Holby City’s cancellation last March, fans have been treated to characters appearing in episodes of the sister show, set in the Emergency Department of Holby City Hospital.
So far we’ve seen Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) and Sacha (Bob Barrett), Donna (Jaye Jacobs) has now become a permanent member of the ED team and soon, we’ll say a hello to Eli once more.
The new Casualty trailer doesn’t give away anything about why Eli is in the ED, and we’re yet to discover extra details such as his storyline, or how many episodes he will be in, but we do see him hugging someone as Stevie (Elinor Lawless) watches on.

Eli was involved in a hugely powerful and emotional storyline in Holby, as his wife, Amelia (Lucy Briggs-Owen), faced treatment for a brain tumour right in the middle of their attempt at starting a family.
They were temporarily given the opportunity to look after Nicky’s (Belinda Owusu) baby, Juliet, daughter of murderous Doctor Cameron (Nic Jackman), but after a change of heart, Nicky took her daughter back and started to bond with her again.
This is a huge moment for Holby City fans and also Davood, who only played the role of Eli for less than a year, due to joining shortly before the axing of the show was announced.
Speaking about the cancellation and saying goodbye to Eli so soon, Davood told us at the time: ‘Once I knew the game was up with the show, I really wanted to pick at those strong points of the character, because you know – unlike any other continuing drama situation – there is finally an end.

‘You really want to explore those to the greatest degree rather than waiting for the next thing, that allows for some exceptional drama as far as the whole cast are concerned but on an individual level, you can look at the character in different ways.
