Olly Murs has teased what’s in store ahead of his performance at the Coronation Concert.
The former X Factor star, 38, will take to the stage this Sunday (May 6) in celebration of King Charles III’s Coronation, performing as part of a starry line-up in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Also on the bill are the likes of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Take That, while a crowd of 20,000 will flock to the castle to witness the musical extravaganza up close.
While details of his set list are pretty hush hush for now, Olly has assured he’s going to bring the party.
Appearing on The One Show on Monday (May 1) as the countdown begins to the big weekend, he was asked by host Alex Jones what fans can expect.
Keen not to give anything away but providing enough to get us excited, Olly replied: ‘Well, I hope that King Charles has his dancing shoes on! That’s all I can say!’

So, it seems fans can expect some of Olly’s more upbeat tunes to make an appearance – perhaps his cheeky joke was a nod to one of his most famous tunes, Dance With Me Tonight?
Also on the show, Olly said he’ll be rehearsing on Saturday, with the epic stage revealed by the BBC yesterday.
‘I’ve been chatting to the choreographers at the moment, so there’s gonna be some sort of performance that will involve me dancing and stuff, so that’s exciting,’ he said.
‘I think I’m on the stage on Saturday doing rehearsals,’ the singer added, explaining that he’ll travel back to London after finishing his tour show in Manchester the night before.

‘The visuals look spectacular,’ Olly praised, as the stage is arranged into a Union Jack shape with a halo-like screen above to represent ‘the Crown protecting the nation.’
Of what it means to be on the line-up, Olly added: ‘It’s gonna be special. It hasn’t really sunk in, I don’t think, to be honest. I’ve been in such tour mode, but by the time it gets to Saturday it’s gonna really hit home, the occasion, the moment, and how it’s a once-in-a-lifetime, a historic moment for me in my career, but not just for me, for everyone watching. It’s gonna be incredible.’
The Heart Skips A Beat singer also said he’s ‘massively proud’ as he reflected on how far he’s come.

‘I’ve been doing this for a long time, from 2009,’ he said.
‘From working in a call centre in Essex to, 14 years later, probably the biggest gig of my life, just really, really honoured to be at such a historic event and singing in front of the King.
