Chris Tarrant’s ex-wife Ingrid would be open to letting her daughter play a significant role in her dating life – so could My Mum, Your Dad be on the cards?
On Monday evening, the ITV show hosted by Davina McCall finally launched, as a set of single parents began their journeys of dating one another on their search for love.
However, unbeknownst to them, their children – who nominated them for the process – are all watching from a secret surveillance room, and can make decisions on behalf of their parents on who they think would be a good match for them.
Off the back of the programme, TV personality Ingrid and her daughter Fia appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning, where they discussed the idea of Fia playing matchmaker to her mother.
Ingrid, 68, was previously married to former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Chris, 76, from 1991 to 2007. She shares her daughter Fia with her first husband, Tony Walsh, who she was married to from 1980 to 1985.
She also had a son called Dexter with Tony, and had two children with Chris: Sammy and Toby.

During the GMB interview, Ingrid insisted that she is ‘happily’ single and is ‘not necessarily’ looking for love.
Nonetheless, she added that she would be ‘open’ to meeting someone if Fia were to set her up, before stating: ‘I think they’d find it hard to matchmake me anyway.’
When Fia was asked if she was on the lookout for a partner for her mother, she answered: ‘Do you know what? It would be great if she found someone because it would definitely get her off our backs.
‘I mean she phones us all five times a day. It would take one almighty person to take my mother off [the market].’

She added that while her mother said that she would listen to her if she was concerned about someone she was dating, she wasn’t ‘entirely sure’.

Nevertheless, Ingrid said that she would trust her daughter’s judgement ‘100%’.
So could we perhaps see Ingrid consider taking part in My Mum, Your Dad in future? We’ll have to wait and see!
