EastEnders ‘narrows down’ list of possible murder victims in new clue about Christmas death

Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) took it upon himself to try and get the Beales back together in Monday’s (October 16) episode of EastEnders – but it ended in complete disaster.

Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) and Rocky are currently living at Dot’s (June Brown) old house with Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) and Reiss (Jonny Freeman).

In tonight’s instalment, when Reiss entered the kitchen and announced he needed to clean the spit valve in his tuba, Kathy was disgusted and saw that as a sign from the universe that she needed to move out.

After a chat with Bobby (Clay Milner Russell), who said how much he misses the family being together, Rocky invited Peter (Thomas Law), Cindy (Michelle Collins) and Ian (Adam Woodyatt) for lunch.

As they entered, Cindy handed Rocky a bottle of wine. Rocky then went to kiss Cindy on the cheek to say thank you, but things got very awkward when they accidentally kissed on the lips!

Sitting down for lunch – which featured a badly cooked quiche from the freezer – things very quickly went from bad to worse.

After Rocky mentioned the prospect of everyone living under one roof again, it became apparent Kathy was told how desperate Ian and Cindy were to visit and sort things out – which was far from the truth.

As Ian and Cindy got up to leave, an argument got underway. Throwing harsh comments back and forth about Ian being a mug, and Cindy earning money ‘on her back’, Kathy then said: ‘living under one roof? There will be murders before Christmas!’.

Whenever Christmas is mentioned now, our minds go straight to the flashforward scene that aired in February, which confirmed a dead body will be found in the pub during the festive season.

The Six – aka Kathy, Suki (Balvinder Sopal), Denise (Diane Parish), Linda (Kellie Bright), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Sharon (Letitia Dean) – will all be present when the death is announced, but could this scene tonight be a clue as to who the victim will be?
