Just weeks ago, Cathy (Gabrielle Dowling) finally learned the diagnosis behind her symptoms – that she has been suffering PMDD in Emmerdale.
While learning the diagnosis was a huge milestone for the teen, learning that it was incurable sent her into a pit of denial.
She then set about trying to find her own cure, learning that she could have her uterus removed and solve all her problems. When the adults in her life said no to this, she attempted to action her plan using Wendy’s credit card, with the idea of booking a flight to America for treatment.
This plan failed, so she concocted plan number two – to get pregnant.

She set eyes on Samson (Sam Hall), who’s clearly very virile having fathered Esther already, and she began flirting with the lad in a bid to get him into bed.
When April (Amelia Flanigan) learned of this plan, she was incredulous and told her friend what a ridiculous idea it was. But instead of listening, Cathy turned against her.

Since then, the two besties have not seen eye to eye, and their relationship is set to further crumble when April takes extreme action.
Worried for her friend and upset at her laser focus on her bonkers plan, April reveals to Samson exactly how he’s being used. Incredibly, Samson (Sam Hall) is hurt and immediately runs to Cathy to confirm or deny this story.
As Cathy learns of April’s betrayal, things turn nasty.
