Dakota Johnson has raised eyebrows after revealing that she can ‘easily’ sleep for up to 14 hours a night.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress got candid about her daily routine in a new interview, explaining that she puts getting a good rest above all else.
But the 34-year-old’s remarks left fans a little baffled, as many were left wondering just how she actually manages to get anything done.
When asked about her daily routine, she told the Wall Street Journal: ‘I don’t have a regular [wake-up] time. It depends on what’s happening in my life.
‘If I’m not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can. Sleep is my number one priority in life.
‘I’m not functional if I get less than 10. I can easily go 14 hours.’

Spilling further details on her self-care routine, Dakota – daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson – added: ‘I will get in a bathtub at any moment, any time of the day. If in the middle of the day, I’m like, “Oh God, what is this world?” I’ll get in the bathtub. I find water really grounding.’
Fair enough.
According to the Mayo Clinic, experts have recommended that health adults need at least seven hours of sleep a night, adding that most people don’t need more than eight to be well rested.
It’s fair to say that the internet was divided over the Madame Web star’s habits, with many admitting that they would do the same if they could.

‘Girl after my own heart, honestly,’ one posted, as another agreed: ‘Someone has her priorities straight.’
A follower penned: ‘Shut up! I would too if I had that kind of money!!’
However, others slammed her comments as ‘out of touch’, as others don’t have the time to sleep for 14 hours while working and taking care of their families.
‘Also known as a “nepo nap”,’ a Twitter user joked.
‘I wish I could say the same because damn I’m tired,’ a commenter said.

‘Must be nice. Sounds lazy, elitist and entitled. I’m sure a single mom working 2 jobs has a similar routine,’ a fan posted.

‘I would sleep all day too, if I had money like hers, a cook, maid, & gardener,’ one fumed. ‘Must be nice to get 6hrs of sleep. I work 3 jobs just to get a good paycheck. I’m exhausted. I’m happy she gets to rest 15hrs a day.’
As an unhappy social media follower accused Dakota’s comments of ‘glorifying oversleeping’.
Over to you, Dakota…
