Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) was once again out to sabotage Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) life in Coronation Street as she told Kevin (Michael Le Vell) about her sourcing some drugs.
Shortly after Cassie arrived in Weatherfield, Abi decided to help her get clean. A recovering drug addict herself, Abi relates a lot to Cassie and has been incredibly kind to her, but sometimes Cassie throws that kindness back in her friend’s face.
We saw this recently, when Cassie accidentally scratched a new Porsche and made it look as though Abi was responsible.
When Roy (David Neilson) confessed the truth to Abi, she was angry but ultimately decided to be the bigger person, knowing it would be better for Cassie in the long run if she stayed at the garage rather than sack her, and risk a relapse.

Cassie told Kevin and Abi that she wouldn’t cause anymore trouble – which didn’t last long.
In Monday’s (January 9) episode of the ITV soap, Abi left the garage and told Kevin and Cassie she was going to attend a breakdown.
A suspicious Cassie followed Abi, who was actually sourcing some drugs from a dealer called Dean.
Racing home, Cassie immediately told Kevin and even admitted to taking photographs.
When Kevin confronted Abi, she confessed the truth and said she was actually getting them for Paul (Peter Ash), who has MND and wants to choose the moment he dies.
In the cafe, as Roy closed up, Kevin arrived and spoke with Abi. He said Cassie followed her because she thought she ‘might do something daft’ but Abi and Roy didn’t really see it that way.
Roy made his way over to see Cassie and said Abi was trying to do the right thing, and wasn’t sure if Cassie was doing the same.

Cassie probably doesn’t dislike Abi, chances are she’s just incredibly jealous of the life she’s now leading.
But will this jealousy fuel her to do anything else in the future?
‘Cassie just wants Abi’s life. Does she fancy Kevin? I don’t know. I think she just wants that structure of stability. She’s seen how Abi has sorted herself out’, Claire Sweeney said.

‘It’s interesting because Cassie wanting Abi’s life is not so far-fetched,’ she asserted. ‘It’s not like she’s looking at someone who has got a completely different life like Real Housewives or even looking at someone like Maria (Samia Longchambon) who’s never put a foot wrong.
