The Sopranos stars Michael Imperioli and Lorraine Bracco have reunited to mark the show’s 25th anniversary.
Regularly labelled one of the best shows of all time, the crime drama television series revolved around Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), a New Jersey-based Italian-American mobster who struggled to balance his family life with his role as the leader of a criminal organisation.
He also explored these struggles during therapy sessions with psychiatrist Jennifer Melfi (Lorraine), while the series also featured his various family members, Mafia colleagues, and rivals, including protégé and distant cousin Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli).
First hitting screens in 1999, it ran for six seasons before wrapping up in 2007.
Across its run the series it was nominated for over 100 Primetime Emmy Awards and won 21 of those.
Now, 25 years after it began, the stars came back together to mark the occasion at the Emmy Awards.

During the show, cast members took to the stage and stepped into a recreation of Dr. Melfi’s therapy office.
Speaking during the event Michael, 57, remarked on the anniversary that the cast recently celebrated.
‘2024 marks the 25th anniversary of this series that Lorraine and I were so fortunate to be a part of,’ he said.

Lorraine, 69, then spoke, getting emotional as she remembered the show’s star, who died in 2013.
‘And speaking for Michael, myself and the entire cast and crew, it was an honour working with Sopranos creator David Chase and of course the great James Gandolfini.’
As they stood on stage, a framed photo of him was placed next to a tissue box on a small table.
However, many fans seemed to have missed the moment, taking to social media soon after.

Last week the cast came together in New York to mark the anniversary, with Lorraine also speaking about how much Gandolfini’s presence was missed.
‘I always think about him,’ she told People.

‘I have moments that I have in my mind, or something will happen, that Jimmy will come back to me.’
