Peaky Blinders actor Ian Peck – who portrayed one of Tommy Shelby’s henchmen, Curly, across all six series of the hit BBC drama – has been cast in Coronation Street as John Perry.
Perry is an acquaintance of killer Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor), who has agreed to take the hit for Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) death.
An act of desperation will see Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) hit an all time low next week as he teams up with Harvey to frame a cancer patient for the murder two years ago.
Ian has an impressive filmography behind him – from two previous guest stints on the cobbles to box office hit Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, as well as roles in Endeavour and Silent Witness.
Fuelled by his desperation to rid Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) from estranged wife Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) life, in recent weeks Adam has done a deal with the devil himself – Damon’s brother Harvey, promising to help him appeal his sentence and free him from prison if he assists in clearing Damon away from the cobbles forever.

Following an altercation with Damon next week, Adam confronts Sarah and demands they sell their swanky Redbank apartment as he doesn’t want Damon living in what was once his family home.
Tracking down John to Weatherfield Hospital to discuss him admitting his ‘involvement’ in Natasha’s tragic death, he is horrified to learn he is a cancer patient.

The agreement John has made with Harvey to take the fall is in exchange for his family’s protection after he dies, but it naturally doesn’t sit well at all with Adam.
Despite his guilty conscience, he seethes when Sarah tells him she and Damon are happy to leave the flat as they are planning to buy a house with a garden, forcing him to go ahead with his twisted act of revenge.
