ITV staple Lorraine Kelly has confessed she misses former presenter Phillip Schofield after his departure from This Morning last year.
The 61-year-old was embroiled in scandal after an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a younger colleague came to light.
After his exit, his fellow This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby also left the show having been the star for 14 years.
Lorraine, who was recently unmasked as Owl on The Masked Singer, has now spoken out about the former Dancing on Ice presenter and called him a ‘good person’.
‘If you’d told me at the start of [last] year that Holly [Willoughby] and Phil [Schofield] wouldn’t be [on This Morning], I wouldn’t have believed you,’ the 64-year-old presenter said.
‘But you know what? The show will continue. She’ll be fine. He’ll be fine. It will all be OK.’

She continued to Woman and Home Magazine: ‘They’re good people. I miss them. They’re smashing, they made me laugh a lot and every time I was on This Morning as a guest, they were a delight.’
Lorraine added an anecdote about her time on The Cube, which Phillip fronted, and said that the presenter said he hadn’t laughed that much in his life.
Since everything unfolded, the West End actor has stayed out of the spotlight but confessed he doesn’t see himself returning to TV.
Despite claims he wouldn’t return, Phillip has since been rumoured to be taking part in Celebrity Big Brother this March.
Holly, 42, is said to have a ‘deeply bruised’ relationship with her former on-screen partner and the pair have not reconciled publicly.

He issued an apology to his co-stars last year when his affair was confirmed, with both parties maintaining that she knew nothing about it.
