Forget bent coppers, it’s all about bent solicitors in Coronation Street right now, as Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) continues his plan to try and get rid of Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths).
Incase you need a quick recap, Adam is currently in the middle of a deal with Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) – Damon’s brother. Adam has asked Harvey to ‘get rid’ of Damon, and has agreed to work on an appeal case surrounding Natasha Blakeman’s murder in return.
This week, Adam told Harvey that if they pin Natasha’s murder on someone else, the could claim the person ‘responsible’ put gunshot residue on Harvey, giving the impression he killed her.
Shortly after, Harvey contacted Adam and said he needed to meet a man called John Perry at Weatherfield General Hospital – who will confess.

Adam discovered John is a cancer patient and doesn’t have long left to live. He explained that as an ex-con artist, he can’t get a job and wants to leave something for his family after he dies, and accepting Harvey’s deal will ensure that happens.
It’s important to highlight that Adam has never been a villainous character like Harvey, he is constantly fuelled by the anger he feels towards Damon and love he has for Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Harry, and therefore believes this dark, dangerous and very risky plan is the only option.
In Sunday’s (February 11) episode of the ITV soap, Adam and John headed to the police station with a prepared confession, but were surprised when John wasn’t even remanded in custody.
Adam explained that an investigation will be launched and later, he called Harvey to update him.

In his cell, Harvey was impressed with everything Adam had done so far, and said getting rid of someone – Damon in this case – is something he loves doing.
The plan is moving along nicely but if Harvey’s appeal case is a success, could he return to Weatherfield?
