EastEnders has been pulled from screens not once but twice this week amid schedule changes on BBC One.
The soap, which usually airs Monday to Thursday, has been taken off air on Tuesday (February 27) and Wednesday (February 28) this week, in order to make room for the FA cup.
Instead of our regular trip to Albert Square tonight, viewers will be treated to a nail-biting match between Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United, while tomorrow will see Nottingham Forest and Manchester United take to the pitch.
Fortunately, EastEnders fans won’t miss out on any episodes, as the show will now air a double episode on Friday, March 1. The first episode will begin at 7:30pm as normal, with a second episode following at 8pm.
When is EastEnders on for the rest of this week?
EastEnders will air on BBC One on:
- Thursday, February 29 – 7:30pm
- Friday, March 1 – 7:30pm
- Friday, March 1 – 8pm
EastEnders will also air Tuesday – Thursday (February 27 – February 29) on BBC iPlayer.
For those fans too eager to wait, the soap will continue to release episodes early on BBC iPlayer, with Thursday’s (February 29) episode already available to watch.
There is plenty of drama set to hit the Square this week, as Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) enacts her revenge on Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
Unfortunately, it soon becomes clear that Nish is aware of her plan, and she is forced to fend off an attack from him.

Elsewhere, Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) family remain concerned for her wellbeing, while The Six meet once again to discuss what the future may hold.
Their meeting ends in disaster, as Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) evicts Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) from their home, leaving her with no choice but to leave the Square.

Before she goes, she attempts to make a truce with Nish, but that backfires when he lashes out violently, just as the rest of the Panesar family arrive.
