Coronation Street favourite Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) was arrested by armed police in recent scenes after committing a robbery organised by criminal brother Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
Damon had sworn to partner Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) that his crime days were firmly behind him, but when Harvey asked him to do one more job in order to secure her safety, he felt he had no choice but to agree.
When Sarah discovered that he had lied to her, she begged him not to do the job, and he promised to find another way to keep her safe.
However, it soon became clear that he was up to no good when he failed to show up to Harry’s birthday party, and viewers soon discovered that he was going ahead with the robbery.

Though the plan had been simply to rob a van and run off, with the driver receiving a cut of the takings, his fellow robbers decided that they didn’t want to share the loot that many ways.
Damon was horrified when one of them insisted on killing the driver, and soon found himself battling with him himself.
Thankfully, everyone got out alive, and managed to escape the crime scene before getting caught.
When Damon arrived home, it didn’t take Sarah long to realise where he’d been.
She was furious and disappointed, and soon insisted that things were over between them.
Fortunately, she ended up having a change of heart, and the couple and Harry headed out to get dessert together.

On the way home, just as things were looking up for the family, they were interrupted by the sudden arrival of armed police.
Harry was left terrified as Damon handed himself over and was promptly arrested.
