Manchester United have held ‘concrete’ talks with the representatives of Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong over a summer move to Old Trafford.
The Dutchman, formerly of Manchester City, has thrived under Xabi Alonso’s Bundesliga-winning side.
The 23-year-old scored 10 goals and provided eight assists as Leverkusen won the first German league title in the club’s history this term.
Frimpong had been a target under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021, following two successful years with Celtic.
Diogo Dalot has impressed at right-back this term, but he’s often been asked to play at left-back given injuries to Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw.
