This Morning star Sian Welby is ‘missed’ by her colleagues as she shares video from maternity leave.
The presenter officially went on maternity leave last week as she stepped back from her regular appearances on This Morning and Capital FM.
This meant she’d miss out on the Capital Summertime Ball, the huge concert thrown by the station every year.
As her radio family gets set to host the gig, Sian shared a video of herself on an exercise ball, joking this was as close as she’d be getting to the concert.
‘This is the only summertime ball I’ve got this year,’ read the caption on the video.
Capital FM was quick to comment on the post and told the radio personality that they already missed her
‘Miss u x,’ read the comment from the radio station.
Before the pregnant star went on maternity leave she found the ideal replacement for her showbiz recaps on This Morning.
Joining hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on the sofa, she said she wanted to leave the segment ‘in good hands’.
‘I know that showbiz needs to be left in good hands. Somebody who deals with showbiz every morning,’ she teased, joking it was ‘the handover of all handovers’.
‘I really think that this is the perfect guy for the job. I work with him every day, and he’s fantastic,’ she added, before revealing her Capital Breakfast co-host Jordan North is joining This Morning.
He came out to sit with Sian, Ben and Cat and quipped that she ‘put a good word in’ to land him the role.
Sorry, this video isn't available any more.

Ben jokingly told him he was ‘just keeping the seat warm,’ and Jordan teased: ‘I’m just the supply teacher!’
Sian is clearly delighted her friend is stepping in for her while she’s off air, and she said: ‘I’m so glad it’s Jordan!’
Jordan first rose to fame on BBC Radio 1, eventually landing his own weekend show in September 2020, before finishing as the runner-up on I’m A Celebrity a couple of months later.

Back in February, he moved on from the BBC, joining Capital FM as Roman Kemp’s replacement alongside Sian on the breakfast show.
The This Morning announcement comes four months after Sian excitedly broke the news of her pregnancy live on the radio and confirmed she and partner Jake Beckett are set to welcome a new arrival.
She said: ‘I’ve got a bit of an announcement for you! I’m pregnant! I don’t know how I’ve managed to keep it from you for so long. It’s not a joke, it’s not a joke!’
Her former co-star Roman Kemp jumped up in surprise and rushed to hug her, as she said: ‘The lies, the deceit, the mocktails! The stress I’ve gone through trying to pretend not to be drinking.’

She added: ‘I couldn’t wait to tell you. This is a whole new journey for me and I want to take you all on it with me, and don’t worry I’m not going anywhere!
‘This is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share it with you all.’
