Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is set to receive some shocking news after being rushed to hospital in forthcoming Coronation Street scenes.
The character faces fresh trauma next week, which begins with her complaining to Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) of terrible stomach pains.
When he returns home from work, he is stunned to find Toyah in agony on the floor, and takes her to hospital.
Her sister Leanne (Jane Danson) rushes to her bedside, still unaware of her sibling’s night of passion with her partner Nick.
After some investigation, doctors then give Toyah some bombshell health news that risks changing everything…

Corrie fans recently saw Toyah and Nick give into their feelings for one another and sleep together behind Leanne’s back.
Nick had been there for his sister-in-law after she confided in him about the stillborn baby she secretly gave birth to back in the early 2000s after she was raped by a man called Phil Simmonds.
Toyah buried the baby, who she named Rose, in a park, but was recently left horrified to learn of a group of people trying to dig near Rose’s grave in search of missing Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

After she was wrongly arrested for the murder of the baby, Toyah was released in time to say a proper goodbye to Rose at her funeral.

Seeking comfort, Toyah later fell into Nick’s arms as they were left alone at home together, but remained unaware that their liaison was witnessed by a mystery figure from the derelict builder’s yard.
It was later revealed cult leader Rowan Cunliffe (Emryhs Cooper) was in possession of a compromising image of the pair, using it to blackmail them.
