Steve McDonald takes drastic revenge on Tommy Orpington in Coronation Street – and he has an accomplice

Desperate times call for desperate measures in Coronation Street soon and where getting revenge on Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) is concerned, anything is possible for Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).

Steve had his heart broken into a thousand pieces when Tracy (Kate Ford) left Weatherfield for a new life in Spain with Tommy. Not only was his wife leaving him and ending their marriage, but she was doing it to be with someone Steve once called his footballing hero.

Ouch.

Recently, best mate Tim (Joe Duttine) decided to try and cheer Steve up by organising a surprise birthday party for him.

Sounds simple enough, but Sally (Sally Dynevor) then rained on Tim’s parade by telling him birthday celebrations are off the table, because they’re going to the unveiling of Tommy Orpington’s bust at Weathy County instead.

When Steve’s birthday eventually arrives in a new spoiler video, he’s disappointed to realise the party isn’t exactly what he was expecting.

To make matters worse, Steve then discovers where Tim and Sal are when Brian (Peter Gunn) shows him a social media post.

As Steve furiously announces that he’s going down there, Cassie (Claire Sweeney) offers to drive him to the party for a confrontation, not wanting to be left alone at the so-called party.

When they arrive, Steve works out a way to get revenge on Tommy once and for all. What could possibly go wrong?

Turns out quite a lot.
