Here’s what Rylan Clark thinks of rumours he’s set to take part in Strictly Come Dancing…
The X Factor alum, 35, has found himself at the centre of speculation that he’s heading for the dancefloor with hopes of lifting the glitter ball trophy.
However, before you get too excited, Rylan has already put a pin in the idea with a blunt four-word response.
On whether he will ever shimmy down that glittering staircase on the beloved BBC programme, he stated that ‘the answer is no.’
The 35-year-old TV presenter, who hosted the spin-off show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two from 2019 to 2023, doesn’t think it would be fair to sign himself up.

As per the Daily Star’s Hot TV column, Rylan said: ‘I get asked to do Strictly all the time, but the answer is no.

‘I wouldn’t do it.’
He added: ‘It wouldn’t be fair for me to go back and compete. It would be the same as if I went back into Celebrity Big Brother. It wouldn’t be fair.’
Rylan won Celebrity Big Brother’s 11th series in January 2013, just weeks after his X Factor exit, having recently spilt that he was in talks with BB bosses before he had even been booted from the singing show.
He’s since fronted several of his own TV shows, such as Supermarket Sweep, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, This Morning, The Xtra Factor, and more.
As for Strictly 2025, the line-up of contestants is yet to be announced, but speculation is, of course, rife.
The BBC declines to comment on rumours before the official line-up is published, but celebrities said to be in the mix currently include Martin Roberts, Nicola Roberts, and Chris McCausland, who would be the first-ever blind contestant.
Rylan, who co-hosted It Takes Two with Zoe Ball before Janette Manrara took her place, doesn’t want to make the transition from host to contestant.

But, after leaving It Takes Two and being replaced by Fleur East, Rylan admitted to The Sun that he needed some time to figure out his next career move.
‘I’ve been doing the same type of job for 10 years. For me, I just got to the point, “What do I want? What would I like to be? Who do I want to be? What show do I want to do in the future?”,’ he told the publication.
‘And it’s really hard to try to work that out while you’re doing different things. So I had to take that step back, have a minute to myself, let it breathe, and not turn on the TV and see yourself while you’re watching what everyone else is doing.’
His career isn’t the only thing Rylan has been making changes with recently.
He sent his social media followers into a spin over the weekend by revealing a new hairstyle, having stripped all the colour from his famously brunette barnet.

Sharing a selfie, the Essex star showcased his latest hairdo, having previously sported long blonde locks and a raven quiff.

Revealing a chestnut tone as his natural colour, he penned: ‘Stripped colour from my hair to give it a reset. For anyone wondering this is what I look like with no colour in and no make uppppp [sic].’
Rylan was soon flooded with compliments, with fans begging him to keep the style.
