EastEnders has continued to tease fans with the potential return of iconic character Little Mo Slater (Kasey Ainsworth) to the soap.
The character last appeared in Walford back in 2006, but still has many family living on Albert Square, not least her son Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), who became a regular character in 2022.
In the lead up to the soap’s 40th anniversary, soap fans are anticipating the return of some familiar faces, with executive producer Chris Clenshaw revealing the ‘nostalgic element’ will play a big part in the celebrations, teasing that there are ‘quite a few treats coming up’.

There’s every possibility one of those could be Little Mo, who has been mentioned many times since Freddie relocated from his mum’s to spend time with relatives Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).
The character was again mentioned twice in Tuesday’s episode, as Kat and ex-husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) tried new tactics to deal with son Tommy Moon’s (Sonny Kendall) troubling behaviour.
Viewers saw Alfie detail his plan to send Kat down to Mo Harris’ (Laila Morse) caravan, so she could spend time with Little Mo and their sister Lynne Slater (Elaine Lordan).
While she was initially reluctant due to Tommy’s unpredictability, after he punched her in the stomach last week, she was eventually persuaded when the teenager looked to have changed his ways.

Alfie was seen taking a hardline approach with his son, reminding him of how Little Mo was once married to the abusive Trevor Morgan (Alex Ferns), explaining how he didn’t want the youngster to turn out like him.
However, it was recently confirmed that Tommy’s recent behaviour is the beginning of a new storyline exploring the issue of child-to-parent abuse, with harrowing scenes seeing Tommy begin to control and dominate Kat.

In a Good Morning Britain interview in December, actress Kacey Ainsworth refused to rule out the possibility of returning to EastEnders one day, saying: ‘It is an availability thing, it’s always an availability thing.’
‘It would always depend on the storyline, wouldn’t it,’ she added.
