Sienna makes big discovery about Ethan in Hollyoaks as they cross paths at last

Hollyoaks is giving us the content we’re craving next week in the form an on-screen reunion for former power couple Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) and Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey).

The much-loved duo frustratingly split last year after their plot to con Rafe Harcourt (Chris Gordon) out of his millions backfired rather dramatically, with Ethan in particular winding up heartbroken.

Unfinished business left fans believing that a reunion was an inevitability, especially when you factor in just how popular Ethenna were as a couple, but a change in direction for the characters meant this never came to pass.

Sienna’s family woes and mystery new relatives have taken up much of her time while poor Ethan hasn’t much to do at all, with the exception of delighting fans with his humous quips and being taken hostage a number of times.

Despite pleas for a reunion with Sienna, the character has instead been made a love interest for Vicky, in a storyline that has proven incredibly contentious with viewers – especially given that Ethan is already on borrowed time.

Vicky has made it her mission to win Ethan’s affection, despite the fact that he’s made it clear on various occasions that he’s not interested.

The ice between the two thawed, however, when Vicky landed at job at Ethan’s club – casual reminder that he still owns The Loft – with Ethan left impressed by her efforts.

The two characters get along quite well, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Sienna, who crosses paths with Ethan for the first time in months.

Ethan denies that there’s any chemistry between he and Vicky – something which the fans would agree on – when quizzed on the subject by actual true love Sienna, but subsequent scenes appear to hint at he and Vicky getting close as they continue to circle each other.

Hopefully crossing paths with Sienna, which is something fans have been crying out for for weeks, will make Ethan realise that it’s she who he’s destined to be with.

An upcoming scene certainly seems to suggest that the spark is still there.

Metro confirmed earlier this year that star Matthew James Bailey is unfortunately set to exit the Channel 4 soap and thus fans are eager for him to share the screen with Sienna once again before it’s too late.
