David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) has hidden a huge secret from Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) in recent Coronation Street scenes that could lead to the end of their relationship.
The pressure has been on for David since discovering that Gail Platt (Helen Worth) was planning on selling their house, and things got even more real when she accepted an offer from Carla Connor (Alison King) in tonight’s episode.
In tonight’s episode, Shona warned him to stop moaning about the situation and instead start looking for somewhere for them to live.
Having been left with no choice, David later opened up Shona’s laptop to start searching for a new property.
However, he got quite the shock when an email came through for Shona from the prison where her son Clayton Hibbs (Callum Harrison) is currently being held.
The email was a request for Shona to visit her son – and it soon turned out that she had also received two letters that David had been hiding.
As Shona arrived home, he quickly deleted the email without her seeing it.
