Davina McCall is recovering in ICU after her brain surgery today.
The former Big Brother presenter, 57, revealed today in a video to her fans that she had been diagnosed with a rare brain tumour, and revealed she was getting it removed via surgery.
Hours later, her partner Michael Douglas has posted a statement on her Instagram, revealing she is recovering in ICU ‘as a precaution’ but that the surgery went well.
‘Hey all. Davina is our of surgery and according to the surgeon it was textbook!’ he began.
‘She’s currently recovering in ICU as a precaution, as you can imagine she’s utterly exhausted. Thanks so much for all the love from everyone on here.. it’s powerful stuff, we are super grateful.’

TV star friends have shared their support after Davina revealed she was having surgery to remove 14mm wide brain tumour discovered during a health check-up.
Holly Willoughby and Rylan Clark were among the celebrities sending well-wishes after Davina said on social media that she was one of the three in a million who had been diagnosed with having a ‘very rare’ colloid cyst.
Colloid cysts are benign, meaning they are non-cancerous, small fluid-filled sacs located in or around the lateral and third ventricle of the brain, according to the London Neurosurgery Partnership.
On Instagram, Rylan referred to Davina as a ‘beautiful’ and said everyone was thinking of her, while Dancing on Ice star Holly said she was sending her love and ‘a whole lot more.’
Echoing their sentiment, BGT judge Amanda Holden said: ‘Sending so much love.’
Also rallying around Davina was Carol Vorderman, who shared: ‘Wishing you every success with the big op. And love in recovery on the other side ❤️. You help and continue to help so many people and for that so many of us are grateful. Please take your time. Everyone will be here when YOU are ready.’
Joining her was fellow TV presenter Laura Whitmore, who said: ‘Sending love to you both x.’

Dragons’ Den star Steven Bartlett wrote: ‘Love you Davina! You’re in the best hands and we can’t wait to give you the biggest Davina-style hug on the other side.’
Zoe Ball also shared: ‘Big big love to you M and the kids. and mostly to your girl. all of us out here holding tight for you all.’
Lisa Faulkner added: ‘Sending all my love to you. Best wishes and all positive prayers for a speedy recovery.’
Davina said she consulted with several neurosurgeons and after ‘lots of opinions’ decided to have the tumour removed because it is ‘big for the space’ in her brain and ‘if it grows it will be bad’.
The Masked Singer judge said she would be in hospital for around nine days after the operation and asked her fans to ‘pray for me’ although assured them she was in ‘good spirits.’

She was joined in the video by her partner of five-years, celebrity hairdresser Michael, who said he would share updates on Davina’s health on her official Instagram page.
On Instagram, Davina explained: ‘Hi so I’m posting this, it will be Friday morning and I’m doing it because a few months ago, I did a menopause talk for a company and they offered me a health scan in return which I thought I was going to ace. But, it turned out I had a benign brain tumour called a colloid cyst which is very rare, three in a million.
‘I put my head in the sand for a while, I saw quite a few neurosurgeons, I got lots of opinions, and I realised that I have to get it taken out. It’s big for the space, it fills the space. It’s 14mm wide, and it needs to come out because if it grows it will be bad.
‘So I’m having it removed via a craniotomy through the top of my head here, and through the two halves of my brain, to the middle, get the cyst, empty it, take it out, “Bob’s your uncle.”
‘So say a prayer for me. I am in good spirits.’

Speaking about her recovery, Davina continued: ‘I’m going to be in hospital for about nine days, and then I’m going to be going home but I am going to be off my phone for a while.
‘So Michael might fill you in and let you guys know how I’m doing. But I don’t want you to worry about me. I’m doing that enough as it is.
‘I’m not worrying too much I am in a good space. I have all the faith in the world in my surgeon and his team and I’m handing the reigns over to him, he knows what he’s doing, I’m going to do the getting better bit after. I’ll see you on the other side.’
