Commuters are in for a treat with severe disruption on London Underground and Overground lines and numerous rail lines.
The Piccadilly line is suspended between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to poor rail conditions caused by ‘significant leaf fall,’ TfL said.
Flooding and a customer incident suspended Mildmay Overground line services between Stratford and Clapham Junction / Richmond.
These have now resumed, but passengers can expect cancellations and delays of up to 20 minutes until 6.30pm.
Multiple rail services are also experiencing 60-minute delays due to multiple incidents across the network.

The affected operators are Thameslink, Gatwick Express, Great Northern and Southern. This rail disruption is expected to continue until 5pm.
Earlier, High Street Kensington station was evacuated due to a trackside fire and King’s Cross station was emptied after an alert. The Elizabeth line has reopened after signalling issues since yesterday.

Passengers trapped on South Western Railway train during ’emergency incident’
All lines between Surbiton and Woking are blocked, causing cancellations and delays.
This is because emergency services are dealing with an unspecified ‘incident’ near the railway.
A passenger on board one train said they have been stuck between stations for roughly 30 minutes.
Disruption is expected to continue until 11.45pm.
Delays on Victoria London Underground line
There aren’t enough trains to run a full service on the Victoria Tube line.
The shortage is causing minor delays between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central.
Police incident blocks lines between Birmingham Airport and Rugby
Police are dealing with an incident near Coventry this evening.
Several lines that run between Birmingham International Airport and Rugby are blocked as a result.
This means some West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway services will be delayed or cancelled.
Replacement buses are being arranged.
The nature of the incident has not been confirmed.
Flights can’t land at Belfast Airport due to fog

Numerous Ryanair, British Airways, Aer Lingus and easyJet flights have been diverted or delayed due to fog cloaking Belfast.
Flight tracking website FlightRadar24 shows airplanes flying in circles before off the coast of Northern Ireland before being allowed to land.
Others were diverted down to the south coast of Ireland where they turned around over the ocean off Cork before beginning the journey back now.
A flight from Liverpool was over the Isle of Man when it circled back as if returning to Liverpool before turning around again to Belfast where it has now landed.

Severe delays and suspension on Hammersmith & City and District lines
There are no London Underground services between Liverpool Street and Barking on the Hammersmith and City Tube line.
Severe delays are also affecting the District line. Both are the result of emergency engineering works at Upminster.
Elsewhere there are minor delays on the Central line between Leytonstone and Hainault via Newbury Park, and on the Victoria line between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central.
Car crash, traffic jams and train delays plague Oxford
Rail passengers face delays of up to 40 minutes on Chiltern Railways trains between Oxford and Bicester Village.
This is due to a points failure between the city and Oxford Parkway to the north. Disruption is due to continue until 5.15pm.
On the opposite side of the city, southbound traffic has ground to a halt after a crash on the A34 just southwest of Didcot.
Congestion and slow moving traffic stretches as far north as Abingdon.
With this expected to continue until around 5pm, it could cause headaches for commuters trying to go home.
Major disruption after person hit by train between Milton Keynes and Watford
Lines between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston have reopened after a person was hit by a train today.
But rail passengers should expect major disruption between Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction until 5.30pm, National Rail said.
Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway services may be cancelled or delayed by up to an hour.
Overground Mildmay line suspended with severe delays
Passengers face further disruption on the TfL network after a day of travel chaos after part of the Mildmay Overground line was flooded between Kensal Rise and Willesden Junction.
In a separate incident, a passenger was taken ill on a train at Kentish Town West.

Points failure causes train delays at Liverpool Street
A points failure at London Liverpool Street station means Greater Anglia, Overground and Stansted Express services could be cancelled or delayed.
National Rail said the issue could be resolved by 3.15pm.
Journeys could take longer than usual or be axed on the following routes.
- Greater Anglia between London Liverpool Street and Hertford East / Stansted Airport / Cambridge North / Ely / Braintree / Colchester Town / Clacton-on-Sea / Southend Victoria / Ipswich / Norwich
- London Overground between London Liverpool Street and Chingford / Enfield Town / Cheshunt
- Stansted Express between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport
Roads closed in West Sussex after flooding
Several roads have been flooded in West Sussex around Crawley, including next to London Gatwick Airport – just some of the dozens of areas across England and Wales affected by Storm Bert and Storm Conall.
Here are some of the blocked roads.
- Lowfield Heath Road outside Gatwick Airport is closed both ways due to flooding
- Selsfield Road in Selsfield Common is blocked in both directions from B2028 Ardingly Road to Vowels Lane after becoming submerged
- Cob Lane is closed Northbound from B2028 Ardingly Road to Philpots Cottages
- B2115 Warninglid Lane is closed in both directions due to impassable flooding
- B2237 Worthing Road is closed in both directions due to flooding between The Boars Head to Hop Oast Park and Ride Roundabout
Severe delays after M1 crash traps person in lorry
Traffic is backed up after a crash closed three southbound lanes on the M1 between J21A and J21 just southwest of Leicester.
Drivers face 90-minute delays with traffic ground to a halt as far as J22 near Markfield while emergency services clear the scene.
National Highways said: ‘At this time Leicestershire Fire Service have instructed us to keep traffic held at scene due a person trapped inside one of the lorries. Injuries are not reported as serious.
‘Please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.’
Lines reopen after flooding between Ascot and Aldershot
Railway lines have reopened after heavy rain shut the tracks at Bagshot, Surrey, earlier today.
But South Western Railway trains will take some time to recover so trains between Ascot and Aldershot may still be cancelled and revised until about 1pm.
Tube status update after fire alerts
Passengers will struggle to find a Tube line that is not affected by any disruption after a wave of fire alerts, Elizabeth line suspension and leaves on tracks.
- Bakerloo line – Severe delays after the earlier fire alert
- Circle line – Severe delays remain after the trackside fire at High Street Kensington
- Elizabeth line – No service between Paddington and Abbey Wood, and severe delays between Paddington, Heathrow Airport and Reading

Surface water causes severe delays on M25

Motorists have been warned of long delays on the M25 in Surrey after surface water on the motorway.
Heavy rain brought by Storm Conall means excess water has built on the carriageway clockwise between J9 and J12.
The speed limit has been reduced to 40mph.
Services resume at King’s Cross station after fire alert
Services have resumed at King’s Cross Underground station after an earlier fire alert.
Metro understands the station was evacuated as standard practice after the fire alert before the London Fire Brigade gave the station an all-clear.
Footage showed passengers queueing at the Paddington Tube station entrance with police officers guarding the stairs which appeared blocked off.

Long delays on the M25 at Dartford Crossing

Drivers have been warned of traffic delays on the A206 and M25 after a stalled vehicle blocked part of a lane anticlockwise at J1a (Dartford Tunnel).
Traffic congestion is backing up to J3 M20 Swanley Interchange and the A2 near the Bluewater shopping centre.
‘Do not travel’ warning issued on London trains
National Rail has issued a ‘do not travel’ warning due to multiple incidents between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International and at East Croydon.
Trains face up to 60-minute delays across Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Southern services.
National Rail said: ‘We strongly advise you delay travelling until later this morning. There will be heavy disruption for trains in and out of central London, and your journey could take up to an hour longer than usual.
‘Trains that normally run between St Albans and Sutton will only run between St Albans and Kentish Town. There is no Thameslink service between London Blackfriars and Sutton.
‘There will be a reduced service between Bedford and Three Bridges, in both directions. Please check station screens and planners for the latest information.
‘The Gatwick Express service is suspended.
‘Direct services between Reigate and London Victoria are suspended. Please note that GWR services are suspended on the route between Reigate and Gatwick.’
The disruption is expected to last until 12pm.
King’s Cross evacuated after fire alert

King’s Cross station has been evacuated after a fire alert and to avoid overcrowding after to severe issues across the TfL network.
The station entrances have been cordoned off after the fire alarm went off.
Bakerloo line has severe delays because of the alarm.
A TfL alert said the King’s Cross station is closed to ‘prevent overcrowding.’
