Eamonn Holmes has indicated he’s hoping for a better 2025 after his recent health struggles.
The GB News presenter, 65, has had a difficult year with mobility issues, as well as his split from Loose Women star Ruth Langsford after 14 years of marriage.
Earlier this year, Eamonn heartbreakingly said he was on ‘borrowed time’ and ‘not OK’, and has been pictured in public using crutches and in a wheelchair.
He’s now shared a message in response to fans wishing him a Happy New Year.
‘Now here’s a really good one . Just finished watching Danny DeVito & Matthew Broderick in Deck The Halls on @ITVX . I’m at last full of Christmas Cheer!!! A new favourite for my list,’ Eamonn wrote earlier this week.
One follower, David Patterson, replied: ‘Great film. Hope 2025 will be kind to you!’

Eamonn responded with three prayer emojis, and confirmed to another follower’s comment that he would be back on screens for his breakfast programme on Monday, January 6.
The former This Morning star will be returning to GB News alongside Ellie Costello, after his co-presenter Isabel Webster, was confirmed to be one of the presenters leaving, amid a shake-up at the channel.
This comes after Eamonn shared a worrying health update, revealing he is ‘wheelchair laden’.
He said: ‘The train definitely could be a dream, but I’m now sort of wheelchair laden, and you rely on a lot of people to get you on and off.

‘It’s very, very difficult doing that, I just threw that in, it’s not a concern to anybody, but there we go.’
Following his split from Ruth, Eamonn has been open about his new relationship with Katie Alexander, 42, who reportedly ‘wants to love and care for him – especially as he’s in such a bad way with his legs and back, and can’t walk properly without assistance’, it was claimed earlier this year.
Eamonn slipped three discs in his back in 2021, losing ‘full mobility’, and has spoken about his chronic pain and difficulty walking.

He then underwent spinal surgery the following year, which left him off air for almost four months as he recovered, however, he suffered a major setback when he fell down the stairs, later saying he ‘smashed’ his shoulder.
Speaking on GB News earlier this year, Eamonn said: ‘I have been basically disabled for a year and a half or so, and it’s horrendous.
‘I have to have carers to do the smallest, simplest thing.
