Manchester United star Luke Shaw has been branded an ’embarrassment’ by the club’s fans after he was filmed parting with Molly-Mae Hague on New Year’s Eve.
The England international endured a nightmare 2024 with injuries restricting him to only a handful of appearances for United.
Indeed, after recovering from one setback in time to feature in the knockout stages of Euro 2024, Shaw has spent the majority of the current campaign on the treatment table.
New United manger Ruben Amorim has been able to call upon the long-serving left-back on just three occasions since he took over from Erik ten Hag in November.
Shaw’s last appearance for United came on December 1 against Everton and he is unlikely to feature in Sunday’s daunting trip to Anfield where United face runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool.

In light of his recent inactivity, allied to United’s struggles which has, by Amorim’s own admission, left the club fighting a relegation battle, United fans were less than impressed with footage of their injured left-back partying with the reality TV star.
Shaw and his wife Anouska recelled with Love Island star Hague at a glitzy bash on Tuesday night.
The United stalwart was featured in a TikTok video, with Shaw seen mouthing ‘Your mum’s on benefits’ as part of a trend.
‘Luke Shaw more Tik Tok appearances than games in the Premier League,’ remarked one despairing United fan on X.

Another said: ‘Luke Shaw doing TikTok’s with Molly Mae, he would never play again if Fergie was still in charge. Embarrassing club?!’
Another supporter, meanwhile, questioned why there had been a lack of outrage over the video clip considering the abuse Paul Pogba was regularly the recipient of during his time at United.
‘I find the lack of outrage interesting on this video interesting,’ the fan wrote on X. ‘When Paul Pogba was injured dancing at his brothers wedding fans accused him of feigning injury.
‘Meanwhile that same energy isn’t applied to Luke Shaw?!?!…. I don’t even need to say the quiet part out loud.’
