Who is Tattoo? It’s the question on all of our lips following the return of The Masked Singer UK.
Tattoo took to the stage to perform for Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, and newbie judge Maya Jama once again this week, leaving us all baffled who they could be.
The stunning costume is heart-shaped and decorated with classic inkings such as roses, birds, and a ‘love’ banner.
After wowing with their performances over the weeks, Tattoo left everyone puzzled by dropping a series of mysterious clues.
With predictions thrown out such as an EastEnders legend and even a Spice Girl, who do you think is underneath the mask?
What clues are there for Tattoo’s identity?

- Also, a rabbit with a horseshoe and a four-leaf clover, suggesting good luck
- ‘I might look all hearts and flowers, but don’t be fooled by my appearance’
- A framed photo of Natalie Appleton next to a fishnet stocking was featured
- ‘I’ve always followed my heart when it comes to my career’
- Riddle: ‘If you want a tattoo, then you surely have heard, you can’t beat a loved one with one special word’
- Performing has been ‘in their blood’ but they were a ‘late-starter’
- Could a sign of ‘Green Grocers x 2’ have something to do with It Takes Two – are they a Strictly star?
- They opt for wellies over heels, perhaps a Countryfile star
- Maybe they play a TV doctor or were a doctor before fame… or even Doctor Who?
- They have a famous mum or perhaps are a mum
Who could Tattoo on The Masked Singer be?
Jessie Wallace
Davina believes EastEnders icon, aka Kat Slater, is behind the mask—Jessie Wallace.
This is due to two crowns that featured in the VT, one being for a King and one for a Queen.
Of course, this could be a nod to not only Kat’s status on Albert Square, but also that of her other half, Alfie Moon, played by Shane Richie.
‘You’ve got a bit of personality; you’re hot and fiery,’ Davina said, with Kat hardly famous for holding her tongue.
Kat first appeared on EastEnders from 2000 until 2005. She then returned, much to the excitement of viewers, in 2010.
Lacey Turner
Another EastEnders star whose name has been thrown into the mix is Lacey Turner.
The Stacey Slater actress was suggested by Maya, who linked the ‘mum’ tattoo to EastEnders again, but managed to misquote the iconic ‘You’re not my mother’ phrase to Lacey.
Another clue that was mentioned was standing on a ‘soapbox’, heightening the soap star predictions even more.
Cheryl
Guest judge Sir Mo Farah reckons the ‘Love’ written on Tattoo’s costume is a nod to Cheryl’s debut solo single, Fight for This Love.
The track was released in 2009 and rocketed up the UK charts, launching Cheryl’s career away from Girls Aloud. At the time, she was also a judge on The X Factor.
Cheryl is a big tattoo fan, with one of her most famous being a sprawling rose design across her bum and lower back.
She also has ‘Mrs C’ on the back of her neck, referring to her first marriage to footballer Ashley Cole, as well as barbed wire around her thigh and a tribal design on her hand.
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu
Maya Jama reckons Tattoo is someone from her own TV show—Love Island.
Contestants on the ITV dating show are forever locking horns but can also showcase their mushy sides with potential partners.
Picking up on this, Maya suggested that the references to both a sweet and fiery side of Tattoo means Ekin-Su is behind the mask.
She won the 2022 series with boyfriend at the time, Davide Sanclimenti, and they were constantly on and off before winning the cash prize.
In June 2023, Ekin-Su announced her split from Italian hunk Davide. She’s also appeared on Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Big Brother.
Emma Bunton
Dissecting Tattoo’s riddle, Jonathan said that it could be a clue for the Spice Girls tune Viva Forever.
Emma, aka Baby Spice, is also a DJ on Heart Radio, and Tattoo’s costume is heart-shaped.
As for her own inkings, Emma has several of her own, including on her lower back and inside of her wrist.
Catherine Tate
Linking to the stethoscope, Davina thought the singer could be a former Doctor Who? star.
Her theory went further when she realised Tattoo has two birds on her shoulder, and a clue saying ‘Birdie’.
She explained: ‘The Doctor that has a child called Birdie was David Tennant, and Catherine Tate was with David Tennant.’
Seems sound reasoning to us!
Lesley Joseph
Tattoo, though a great singer, has convinced Jonathan she’s actually an actress.

And he predicted the bird clues have to do with Birds of a Feather, guessing it could be Lesley Joseph.
Kym Marsh
Soap-queen herself, Kym Marsh’s name was thrown into the mix by guest judge Tom Daley.
He then went on to say that as Strictly Come Dancing star Kym has tattoos herself, so it may not be an impossible guess.
