Alex Jones has revealed her five-year-old son was rushed to hospital yesterday, forcing her to drop out of The One Show at the last minute.
The TV presenter shared a concerning snap of her son in a hospital bed, with his face covered as he received medical attention from a nurse.
Alex, 47, confirmed everything was okay but did not give any further details on Kit’s sudden health turn.
‘Never gets any easier but made so much better thanks to the amazingly kind and gentle staff,’ she wrote.
Addressing her absence from The One Show, the star added: ‘Such a relief that it’s done! Needless to say, I won’t be on @bbctheoneshow later but @laurenlaverne and @gabbylogan will look after you x.’
Gabby Logan stepped in for Alex alongside the already scheduled Lauren Laverne on last night’s show after the emergency.

Despite the medical emergency, Alex returned to the BBC show on Wednesday, January 8, without mention of her son’s health.
She did not address the hospital trip as she appeared with co-host Clara Amfo on tonight’s show.
Clara and Alex looked cheerful as they smiled and joked on the famous sofas, letting fans know what was in store for the episode.
The Welsh presenter has worked on the BBC programme since 2010, during which she’s presented alongside Matt Baker, Ronan Keating and Roman Kemp.

In 2022, Alex revealed Kit had undergone a ‘routine operation’ for an undisclosed issue and it is unknown if this latest hospital stint is related to that.
‘Waiting for my little Kit to come back from the theatre after a very routine op but feels like the longest morning of my life!’ she wrote at the time.
As well as little Kit, Alex shares two other children with husband Charlie Thomson; son Ted and daughter Annie.
