It might look like your average Welsh town house from the outside, but inside this Grade II listed property in Conwy are some downright bizarre features.
Currently on the market for £875,000, the home was built in 1441 and is believed to be one of only two medieval buildings located within the picturesque walled market town.
Rightmove describes it as a ‘highly individual property with a definite splash of glamour’, but there’s one standout feature that has people talking: a bathtub more suited to a Hollywood bombshell than a medieval cottage.
In one of its three bathrooms, you’ll find a giant stiletto shoe. It’s not an accessory but rather a huge bathtub that potential homeowners can – quite literally – slip into.

The sparkly pink and purple tub – complete with a bow – takes centre stage in the cream-coloured bathroom. And, if that wasn’t extravagant enough, it’s paired with a slim sink in the shape of a coffee mug.
The unique feature—in stark contrast to the rest of the home—left people baffled after the listing was posted on the Reddit forum ‘Spotted on Rightmove.’
Some have declared it ‘grotesque,’ while others are wondering where you can even purchase such a one-of-a-kind bathtub.
User domsp79 asked: ‘Where do you even buy one of those?’ and ‘How the hell did they get it in the house with its tiny doors?’
While Malfestt added: ‘Where do you even get one of those? I’ve not seen one in B&Q.’
User pdoll48 was in disbelief. ‘I was not prepared! That’s bonkers.’ User Lavender_sergeant wrote: ‘This house is stunning. Then there’s the shoe.’

Another archvillain, wrote: ‘The entire house is a wild ride. Nothing could’ve prepared me for that.’ While Own_Parfait_35 called it ‘amazing and deranged in equal ways’.
Some were surprisingly taken with the unique design. Kistelek wrote: ‘I absolutely love every inch of this.’ Another added: What an absolute madhouse. I love it in its own way.’
Those who want to add a similar sense of style to their bathrooms may be disappointed.
Introduced in 2009 by the Italian design company SICIS, the bathtub, named ‘Audrey’, was dubbed the ‘world’s most expensive’ at the time, with prices ranging from $17,000 to $41,000. However, it is no longer listed on their website.

The rest of the cottage is (only slightly) less extravagant. It’s complete with four bedrooms, and three bathrooms, including two en-suites and a spacious garden.
The entrance features an original wooden beam on the ceiling, with white walls and dark wooden furnishings.
Here, a large dining room table with a throne at the end awaits, fit for a king.
In the living room there’s a rustic fireplace that takes centre stage, across from a gold and black storage chest and what appears to be a church pew with a long red cushion.
The other bathroom offers an equally flamboyant design, with a black and white interior, a standing shower and an obscure sink stretching along the wall.

The bedrooms seem to embrace the historic features the most, with a large wooden four post-bed, wooden beams, original fireplaces and stained-glass windows.

Other typical features include a large stone driveway fit for multiple cars, a garage and shed space and a stone wall encasing the property. The townhouse also boasts a view of the harbour.
The listing describes the property, which was gutted and renovated between 2008 and 2015, as both ‘fascinating’ and ‘intriguing’.
