Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is set to cause yet more chaos in upcoming Coronation Street scenes when she sets her sights on a surprising – and taken – man.
The soap stalwart has been struggling to deal with her break up from Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and the subsequent discovery that he’s now dating her sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and, honestly, we can’t blame her.
Having pushed her sister and ex away by trying to frame them for fraud – a plan that backfired spectacularly and ended in Leanne’s arrest – Leanne finds herself alone in upcoming scenes.
However, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) soon barges in and points out that seeing as neither of them have any friends, they may as well head out together and have some fun.
As the pair enjoy a lavish meal at the Bistro, they delight in watching Toyah getting grief from Abi Webster (Sally Carman).
The next day, Leanne helps herself to a bottle of wine from the Bistro.
Having watched Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) storm out after a row with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Leanne slides up to his table and invites herself to join him.
As she orders them both another bottle, Toyah disapproves.
Growing increasingly more drunk, Leanne drapes herself over Ronnie and turns up the charm, flirtily suggesting that they head elsewhere for a bit of fun.
However, she is startled when she realises that Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) has been witness to her behaviour…
The next day, Leanne wakes up with a start when she realises that she’s due in court.
Unfortunately, her day goes from bad to worse when a furious Debbie spots her walking down the street and deliberately drives through a puddle, completely soaking her.

When Nick and Toyah spot a drenched Leanne heading to court alone, Toyah insists that they give her a lift.

However, once they arrive at the courthouse and Leanne is issued a community order, she informs Toyah that she wants nothing more to do with her.
As she debriefs with Tracy later that day, the florist points out that not only did Toyah steal her man, but also her flat with all her belongings.
