A star of an upcoming Netflix series reportedly threatened to leave after becoming irked by another individual receiving ‘special treatment’.
In a couple of weeks, Celebrity Bear Hunt is due to premiere on the streaming platform, which will see survival expert Bear Grylls team up with Dancing On Ice presenter Holly Willoughby to put a line-up of celebrities through their paces.
The star-studded line-up includes Spice Girl Mel B, TV presenter Steph McGovern, Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas and tennis legend Boris Becker.
According to a new report, retired professional rugby union player Danny Cipriani was not happy with the ‘special treatment’ that one star of the show received.
The Sun has reported that he was even adamant that he wanted to leave the programme, but then was persuaded to stay.

A source told the publication: ‘After working so hard to ditch his bad boy rep, Danny had been wary of signing up to a reality TV show – but this opportunity felt different.’

The insider claimed that Danny, 37, is a ‘big fan’ of Bear, 50, and was excited to ‘learn survival skills from the man himself’ in Costa Rica.
However, ‘Danny seemed to think host Holly was getting special treatment and every decision was being made around her comfort’.
The source pointed out that is to be ‘expected’ for the host of a TV show – ‘but it really didn’t sit right with Danny’.
‘He’s been pretty open about his spiritual journey as of late and he’s all about things being fair and equal,’ they stated.

They stated that Danny was ‘adamant’ that he wanted to quit and packed up his things, but producers reportedly convinced him to stay, despite the issue ‘really ruining the rest of his time on the show’.
Apparently, the rugby star has now ‘ruled out’ more reality TV in the future.
