Emmerdale confirms the end of Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day), as seen in my new spoiler pictures, with the abuser set to wind up dead next week when word of his true nature spreads around the village.
Anthony, as viewers know, abused daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) when she was a teenager.
The truth was revealed to audiences a number of weeks ago but everyone in the village remains in the dark – that is until scenes set to air later this week see Caleb Miligan (William Ash) find a DNA test in his wife’s bag.
Ruby had been concerned that their daughter Steph (Georgia Jay), who recently returned to their lives after years of absence, is in fact Anthony and not Caleb’s.
The character’s paternity remains unknown as of yet but next week word of Anthony’s crime filters through the village, with Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) left reeling.
With Anthony alone with Angelia, Nicola races back to Victoria Cottage, where a dramatic showdown ensues as she confronts Anthony over his behaviour, calling him a danger to children.
Sorry, this video isn't available any more.
Things turn violent, with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) turning up in the nick of time to protect her best friend, hitting abuser Anthony with a candlestick and rendering him unconscious.
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), meanwhile, shares major news with Cain (Jeff Hordley), which leaves him reeling. Aaron (Danny Miller) witnesses a tense showdown between Ruby and Anthony, while a vengeful Caleb takes Anthony for a drive in his car.

Subsequent scenes see a gunshot ring out, with Anthony confirmed dead. But with many a villager having an axe to grind with the abuser, the question is: who killed him?
