Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) world is falling apart in Coronation Street.
After becoming a victim of Rowan Cunliffe’s (Emrhys Cooper) cult, Leanne spiralled further when she learnt partner Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) had started a relationship with her sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor).
In a few days time, Leanne will receive a community order from the court after trying – and very much failing – to frame Nick and Toyah for fraud.
As she debriefs with new mate Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) later that day, the florist points out that not only did Toyah steal her man, but also her flat with all her belongings.

Without any choice, next week Leanne will don her high vis jacket and pick up litter in the street. It’s a mortifying sight for her, even more so when some teenagers walk by and heckle her.
Absolutely livid, Leanne arrives at the Bistro and demands Toyah pours her some champagne. At the same time though, Nick enters with an embarrassed Sam (Jude Riordan).
Towards the end of the week, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) arrives in the café and finds Leanne brooding over a cup of tea.
After being invited for a drink, Leanne shows up at Steve’s and they reminisce about the past and their time together as a couple. As they chat, Steve fails to notice an urgent text on his phone from Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney).

With the wine continuing to be poured, Steve assures Leanne that she means the world to Sam, and that bond will never be broken.
