Steph McGovern was reportedly rushed to medics after a terrifying accident during filming for Netflix’s new reality series, Celebrity Bear Hunt.
The presenter, 42, is being put through her paces on the action-packed programme, which sees a batch of celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle where they become ‘prey for one of the ‘world’s most fearsome predators’ – Bear Grylls.
Hosted by former This Morning star Holly Willoughby, it sees the likes of Lottie Moss, Boris Becker, Mel B and Shirley Ballas take part in brutal tasks.
However, one appeared to go wrong when Steph was reportedly in need of medical help after swinging face-first into a cliff.
According to The Sun, the former Steph’s Packed Lunch host almost broke her nose and sparked fears she had a slight concussion.

It’s claimed she was also covered in bruises afterwards and struggled to walk, but was able to continue with the reality show after 24 hours.
A source said: ‘Not only was it terrifying for Steph, but for everyone watching – cast, crew and Holly included.
‘Holly was visibly shaken and close to tears, and at one point could be seen covering her face with her hands.’
It’s said there was a chance Steph may have had to leave on medical grounds, but was monitored for the next 24 hours.
The insider added: ‘But Steph is a trooper – she was determined to stay and luckily for her, she was given the green light to continue.’
The trailer for the upcoming series sees some of the horror challenges the stars are put through, including dangling off a cliff side.
At one point, Steph can be seen with a plaster across her nose.
The clip also teases the emotional moments that occur as the celebrities get to know each other away from the glitz and glam of their everyday lives.
The synopsis for Celebrity Bear Hunt reads: ‘Holly Willoughby hosts this action-packed competition show that sees a group of unlikely celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world’s most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.
‘Bear believes there’s an action hero inside us all – even the celebs – but how strong is their will to survive?
‘As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded “Bear Hunt” – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, face elimination from the show.’

Bear also teased to Saga Magazine: ‘It was the most fun filming I’ve ever had, though it was physically exhausting.’
He added: ‘I get a kick out of seeing how pressure changes people and, as ever in survival, unlikely heroes come to the top. Some people crumble, some just elevate.’
Metro has approached Steph’s reps and Netflix for comment.
Celebrity Bear Hunt will be available to watch on Netflix from Wednesday, February 5.
