Married at First Sight star Jessika Power has broken down after her ex-boyfriend was gunned down and killed.
The former administration officer appeared on the sixth season of the Australian reality series in 2019, where she was matched with car broker Dan Webb.
Although they stayed together after the show ended, they later split, with Jessika then going on to briefly date Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim – an underworld figure in Melbourne.
After surviving several attempts on his life previously, the former Mongol bikie, 32, was shot in a car park outside the Quest Hotel in the suburb of Preston on Tuesday morning local time.
Police have said that a woman, believed to be his girlfriend, was with Abdulrahim at the time and administered first aid until police and paramedics arrived however he died at the scene.
Jessika and Abdulrahim dated in 2019, not long after he’d been released from prison, serving time over a deadly high-speed crash which resulted in the death of an 88-year-old woman four years earlier.

The reality star has now spoken about the murder of her ex, saying she is devastated by the shocking events.
‘It’s been really, really hard to hear,’ she through tears.
‘We ended on really good terms. He’s always been supportive to me if I needed him, even up until a few months ago.
‘I just feel so sad for his wife and his child – she’s going to grow up without a dad and it’s such a toxic world to be in that underworld thing,’ she added when speaking to the Daily Mail.

Labelling her ex a ‘great protector’, Jessika said despite his criminal past he was ‘a family man’.
‘He’s a dad, he’s a husband, he’s someone’s son and he’s just a really good guy,’ she shared.
However, Jessika said his underworld connections was the main reason their relationship ended because she ‘just didn’t want to be around that’.

She went on to say the violence made her ‘head rattle’ as people were ‘out there having these wars, but basically you’re assassinating someone’s father, brother or kid’.

Jessika is currently dating Ryan Loveridge, a boat builder from Plymouth who previously appeared on an episode of Celebs Go Dating in 2019.
