If you love the thrill of air travel but could do without the turbulence and questionable food, this bizarre hotel room might be for you.
At the Corendon Amsterdam New-West, you can get a full flight experience without ever taking off.
Inside the hotel’s aptly named 737 Suite, you can find an actual Boeing 737-8000 aircraft.
No, it hasn’t crash-landed. It’s the centre-piece of the 1,300-square-foot top-floor hotel room.
The front section of the plane, which includes the cockpit, separates two sections of the suite, while the nose peaks outside the window — as if it’s mid-flight.

The intact interior — which guests walk through the enter the room — features 13 plane seats, overheard cabins, trolleys and even windows.
You can also head to the cockpit, which was previously used as a flight simulator for pilots in training.
Where is the plane hotel?
The Corendon Amsterdam New-West Hotel is located on the outskirts of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, just 30 minutes from the central station and 15 minutes to Musemplein, Amsterdam’s famous Museum quarter.
A one-night stay in the airplane hotel suite starts at €299 (£250) for two people.
In addition to the unusual aviation feature, the suite boasts a king-size bed and a spacious bathroom complete with a bathtub, rain shower and audio speaker.

The Corendon also features a Caribbean restaurant, bar and lounge and a spa, which can be booked at an additional cost of €49 per person.
The hotel shared a video of the suite on TikTok, writing: ‘You know what’s cooler than having a jacuzzi in your hotel room? A cockpit of a Boeing 737.’
Why is there a plane in the hotel room?
While it might seem a little odd, Corendon is actually a Turkish-based airline, who have branched out into the hotel business.
The Corendon Amsterdam New-West hotel is part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio – a collection of uniquely designed hotels.
It makes sense then that the Corendon hotels have an aviation theme. They also have properties in Curaçao, Türkiye and another in Amsterdam.
Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has a full-size Boeing 747-400 in its car park and guided tours are every day for just €3.
What have guests said about the plane hotel room?
One TikToker, @guyzer, who recently visited the suite dubbed it the ‘craziest hotel room’. In a video tour of the room, he films the ‘standard’ hotel room items, including a wardrobe, seats, TV area and bed, before panning to reveal the plane in the middle of the room.
He described it as: ‘Just a fully functioning plane with seats and lights that turn on and a full cockpit that you can go into and fiddle with.’

The video, which has gained 2.1 million likes, has left viewers in disbelief, with one user claiming it’s ‘a whole new level of crazy’. Another user added: ‘This feels like a dream.’
Others weren’t as struck by the concept. One user asked: ‘But why? I don’t get it.’ Another added: ‘I’d be so creeped out sleeping next to that.’

Meanwhile, some pondered what use the plane could serve. ‘Would that count as the mile-high club?’ one user asked.
The unusual suite has also been praised by guests on Tripadvisor. One traveller who visited in 2022 described the suite as ‘amazing’, leaving it a five-star review.

‘The 737 Suite is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We decided to treat ourselves to celebrate a special birthday, and we were not disappointed.
‘It is very surreal waking up to a Boeing 737 in your room, but it’s a fun addition to the room that makes it totally unique, and it’s fun to have a snoop around the cockpit.’
